Sri Lanka LNG-to-Power FSRU — Kerawalapitiya, Colombo

Encryo was engaged to support the engineering and project management of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) terminal planned for deployment approximately 9 km north-northwest of the Colombo Port entrance, supplying regasified natural gas to the gas-fired power plants at Kerawalapitiya and Kelanitissa. The FSRU is specified with an LNG storage capacity of approximately 156,000 m³ and a regasification capacity of about 380 mmscfd, serving an initial base-load demand of roughly 0.6 MTPA, expandable toward 1 MTPA.

Scope of work: Encryo delivered front-end engineering design (FEED), detailed design, and project management support covering the FSRU regasification system, topside process configuration, marine interface and mooring integration, and the onshore tie-in to the gas delivery points.
